A Java based program to automatically design gene-specific DNA methylation assays. These assays may serve as epigenetic biomarkers in a cohort of samples (DNA sequences from cases and controls).



Assists in cell nuclei counting and staining estimation of pathological immunohistochemical TMA images and whole slide images.

Assists in whole cell segmentation of highly multiplexed immunohistochemical TMA images and non-TMA images. The software is implemented in MATLAB R2014a, freely available and user friendly.

    Postdoctorial Researcher at MSKCC

    We establish a new center for computational pathology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA, the oldest cancer center in the world. In the lab of Prof. Th. Fuchs, we setup a research environment for the computer aided cancer prediction in large scale.

    Research Assistant at NEXUS

    NEXUS is a ETH platform for the personalized medical data analysis (genetic, clinic or imagery data). I was responsible to setup the image analysis part and to integrate TMARKER into the setting.

    Postdoctorial Researcher at ETHZ

    Due to high feedback in research community, we continued the development of TMARKER, a software for automatic cell detection and classification in histological images.

    PhD. at ETHZ

    I recieved my PhD in 2014 as a member of the machine learning laboratory of Prof. J.M. Buhmann, at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Here, I specialized in medical image analysis such as histopathological images and MRI scans.

    I continued my studies in epigenetic DNA biomarkers for glioblastoma at the MPI with Dr. C. Bock.

    My Master's studies have been concluded at the MPI Saarbrücken, Germany in the group of Prof. Th. Lengauer, with the development of MethMarker, a DNA methylation biomarker analysis Software.

    BSc. in Bioinformatics

    I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from the Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany. My Bachelor's thesis at the Center of Bioinformatics explored the genetic diversity of a specific protein in six clonally infected HIV patients, supervised by Dr. T. Sing.
